Let’s make sure everyone can benefit from healthy lungs.
In 2008, I climbed my first mountain, Mt. Hood, with the American Lung Association in honor of my sister, Cathy Davis, who died in 2006 from lung cancer. Since then, I've volunteered every year to help other people train and fundraise to make their own summits a reality and make a difference in the fight against lung disease. And I've climbed a lot more mountains along the way.
This August, a team of alumni and volunteers from the ALA's Climb for Clean Air program will be climbing Mt. Adams to celebrate our volunteer efforts and raise more money for research and programs supporting lung diseases. Please consider donating if you can. Because there are no climbing costs for this trip, every cent of your donation will go to the ALA.
Chances are you know someone who has faced the challenges of asthma, COPD, lung cancer or air pollution. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the American Lung Association provide community based education programs, fight for cleaner air standards and fund life-saving research. With your help, we will fight against lung disease and for lung health. We will be making a positive difference for all of the parents who have a child with asthma, the people who struggle daily with COPD and the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children and friends who get diagnosed with lung cancer.
Every donation I receive helps make a bigger impact. Please help support my efforts to save lives, donate now.
Together we can fight lung disease successfully!
