I'm doing the Climb for Clean Air to challenge myself and to support people with lung disease who have to fight for every breath.
Through groundbreaking research, advocacy and critical education, the money we raise will provide lifesaving treatments and dramatically improve the quality of life for more than 36 million Americans diagnosed with lung disease.
Join the Climb for Clean Air and be part of making a difference in the lives of lung disease patients and their caregivers. Every donation takes us one step closer to a world free of lung disease. The need is urgent, so please join me today and help us save more lives.
Why am I climbing?
My name is Louie Terrazas - I am a Military Veteran who lives in Philadelphia, PA. Since I was a child, my family instilled in me the values of making a positive impact on other people's lives. I come from very humble beginnings but I believe in helping those who need a hand. I've worked all my life to volunteer, and raise money for various organizations and causes. The time and funds have made quite a difference.
Now, growing up I developed a real passion for the sport of mountaineering. I set a goal of climbing the legendary Seven Summits. So far, I have successfully summited Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, and Aconcagua. As I embark on this incredible journey, I am going for an iconic peak during the Olympics...because I found a way to combine my ultimate personal passions with the American Lung Association.
Giving back & Mountains.
Which mountain?
MONT BLANC is the highest mountain in Western Europe. Located in France, it is known as the originator of the Golden Age of Alpinism. The mountain makes up part of the Alps and stands at 15,837 feet.
As I look to this new challenge, I am undergoing many months of preparation. This training will be extensive and involve several climbs of smaller American peaks to complete my exercise plans.
Please join me on this incredible journey
God Bless,
Louie "LT" Terrazas
