As many of you know, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer 20 years ago. After having a portion of his lung removed, with clean margins, we were hopeful, but always a bit nervous when he went for his doctor visits. Year after year we celebrated another year of him being "cancer free".
And then, out of nowhere, IT came back. IT came back with a vengeance! Diagnosed September 4, 2017 and IT took him on a swift downward spiral until we lost him on October 3, 2017. Although he lost his battle with lung cancer, I know that others are still fighting their own. As part of my father's legacy, I need to do what I can to help fight this horrible disease so that other families do not have to go through the sorrow, pain and emptiness of losing a loved one.
