Together, with your help, we will walk to raise awareness and funds to defeat lung cancer and raise our voices for lung health.
Last summer I received the totally unexpected diagnosis of stage four lung cancer with metastasis to my brain. Following brain surgery, I was unable to walk and spent time as both an inpatient and outpatient at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab learning how to do so again. A group of my wonderful colleagues and friends participated in this walk in my honor last year. This year, I am able to participate in the LUNG FORCE Walk myself so am doing so with a group of dear and beloved friends. I'm pleased to report that my progress continues, and although still in treatment, I have returned to an almost normal life.
When you join the American Lung Association and LUNG FORCE, you support research innovation that will lead to early detection for all and better treatments that give everyone a fighting chance. Your donation and participation will help make a difference in the lives that desperately need it.
To support my efforts, and to help save lives today, please donate now with the generosity that your charitable budget allows.
We will stand together for lung health and against lung cancer!
