I lost my mother almost three years ago. In her last few years' of life, I watched her struggled to just breathe. Her decades of smoking brought on COPD, ephysema, and eventual lung cancer. These diseases were slowly causing her to suffocate until her death. Towards the end, she no longer wanted to live, knowing the inevitable road ahead of her. We kept her comfortable. We kept her calm. We said our peace and our goodbyes. Her doctors made sure that her last breath would NOT be one that she had to fight for. So, I am fighting for others to breathe easy..... in her memory. No one should have to watch a loved one die slowly from suffocation. Please help me help the American Lung Association find a cure!
I would greatly appreciate your support.
And, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
