Walk this way! No, Walk YOUR Way! Curing Lung Cancer One Step at a Time!
Please join us in a LOCAL celebration honoring our two-family lung
cancer survivors, Rob Gartley & Rich Youngman!
When: Sunday, October 20, 2024
Where: Founders Park, on Beach Road, Beach Park, Il (between Sheridan Rd. and Lewis Ave.)
Time: 8:30a-Noon (come any time during these hours. A quick hello or stay the entire time. All up to you!)
Hello, Family and Friends,
This is our second year participating in the LUNG FORCE WALK on Sunday, October 20, 2024. We walk to celebrate our son, Rob, and our brother-in-law, Rich, who were both diagnosed with lung cancer within a month of each other in late 2022. Both were diagnosed stage 1 with no chemo nor radiation needed!! It was a true miracle that it was caught early.
Furthermore, we are thrilled beyond words to announce both are 18 months cancer free! Early detection is tough with this disease but advances are being made while working towards a cure. Still, we have a long way to go as we fight until we ‘WIN the FIGHT’!
We’ll do this in part by asking for your generous donation to this worthy cause. We are aware that you may support other charities near and dear to your heart, just like this is to me. However, if you choose to donate elsewhere, that’s wonderful. What we ask then is for you to think of us on this day as we walk, knowing we are fighting for ALL!
Thank you!!!
Sending love and light,
Diane
