Hi there!

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. I'm here to make a difference in the lives of people impacted by lung cancer and lung disease. I am extremely passionate about helping anyone affected by lung disease. I was fortunate enough to become involved with the American Lung Associate team this year to do just that.

As many of you know, (or possibly don’t!) I was impacted by a severe case of Valley Fever when I was in high school. Now, in 2007 it was not as common, and testing was not issued as regularly as it is today. From hospital stays, ICU visits, to lung surgeries I was exposed to the impact of how bad a respiratory issue could really be – whether it be acute or chronic. I immediately wanted to find ways to spread the word about early testing, education, and overall ways to make a difference. From CDC videos explaining my experience to interviewing with local magazines to raise awareness as Valley Fever became more, and more prevalent throughout the valley.

Now, how did we get to where I am today you may be asking? I took that passion for helping respiratory patients into a career and was a Medical Device Territory Manager and later aRegion Manager selling Oxygen, PAP devices and Ventilators. I had the pleasure of working with some of the most amazing Pulmonologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Oncologists, Intensivists….And, of course, their patients. Seeing our therapies change patients’ quality of life still to this day has left a lasting impression on me.
