Lung cancer (both small cell and non-small cell) is the second most common cancer in both men and women in the United States (not counting skin cancer) according to American Cancer Society. For 2024, American Cancer Society's estimates for lung cancer are: about 234,580 new cases of lung cancer and about 125,070 deaths from lung cancer. I joined LUNG FORCE to support those in need, to raise awareness about lung cancer and lung disease, and to raise funds for research, outreach and early detection initiatives. 

I am dedicating this walk to a beloved friend, sister and mother Sheena Payne who celebrated her life on October 11, 2024. May her legacy of advocating for others live on ~
