Thank you for visiting Vanessa’s Pumpkins Lung Force Team page in memory of Vanessa Kearney. 

Vanessa lost her battle to lung cancer due to complications on October 1, 2022. We are walking to remember and honor her, and to help raise funds for lung cancer screening and early detection.

Vanessa called her daughters and granddaughter “Pumpkin” so our team name is Vanessa’s Pumpkins. 

While we were not aware of the impact of lung cancer prior to Vanessa’s diagnosis, we have become very interested in the screening efforts and early detection of this disease so that other families are not blindsided like we were.
