I am proud to say that this year, 2021, I will once again be raising funds for the Lung Force Run/Walk sponsored by the American Lung Association. Raising funds for lung cancer treatment awareness and research has been dear to my heart for 8 years now. My brother, Paul, passed away from this awful disease on Dec. 7, 2012. I do this to honor his memory and to be a driving force to help save lives for all forms of lung disease. Paul was a fun loving person who worked hard, enjoyed life, and lived a full life. But it was cut short and we miss the good times we could have had with him over the past eight years. My mother also passed away from lung cancer 17 years ago and I miss her very much, as well. My cousin Jack passed away from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis two years ago and I will also be walking for him. I also walk this year to support the ALA efforts regarding COVID-19 research and advocacy.
Together, with your help, we will walk to raise awareness and funds to defeat lung cancer, lung disease, the Coronavirus and raise our voices for lung health.
That's why I have decided to participate in the LUNG FORCE Run/Walk. When you join the American Lung Association and LUNG FORCE in the fight against lung cancer and for lung health, you join us in our mission to improve lives--and save lives.
Your donation and participation will help make a difference in the lives that desperately need it. To support my efforts, and to help save lives today, please donate now.
Together, we are a FORCE to be reckoned with!
