My father died from complications of lung cancer. I was already involved in the Lung Association when it happened. Knowing the statistics, I wasn't surprised. Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer in both men and women in the U.S. In 1987, it surpassed breast cancer to become the leading cause of cancer deaths in women. But even knowing the statistics, it still hurt like hell.
Everyone I know has a connection to lung disease. They know someone with asthma, COPD, lung cancer.... the list goes on.
I am tired of it. I am tired of the stories, of the pain, of the suffering. And I am doing my part to end lung disease. Everyone has a cause. This is mine. I am raising money to end lung disease. Join me in my fight. Join my team. Make a donation. Share this with your friends. Do something to help.
Let's kick cancer's ass- together.
