I joined LUNG FORCE to honor my dad, Tim Ferrin, and my uncle, Dave Ferrin.

My dad showed no symptoms of Lung Cancer until he developed a persistent cough in November 2023. After several misdiagnoses and tests, he was finally diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in January 2024. He fought hard for 7 months, but ultimately, Lung Cancer took his life this past July.

I am hoping to bring awareness about Lung Cancer and to raise funds for research, outreach, and early detection initiatives. I hope that one day Lung Cancer scans become a routine part of yearly physical exams for ALL individuals with a smoking history and for those of a certain age, because I believe early detection could have saved, if not extended, my dad's life.
