The Jacksonville LUNG FORCE Walk is only 8 days away! Please help me in reaching my fundraising goal. This is my WHY:

Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer of both men and women. Every day, 649 people are diagnosed with lung cancer. On March 1, 2023, I was unfortunately one of those people. At 35, having never smoked a day in my life. On March 30, 2023, I had surgery to have the upper lobe of my right lung removed.

As unlucky as my diagnosis as left me feeling, I am constantly reminded of how incredibly lucky I actually am. So many things perfectly aligned and so many wonderful people jumped in to lead me to an answer and catch this cancer early, and I could not be more grateful.

If it weren't for the incredible, truly life-saving work of the American Lung Association, and the dedicated individuals committed to our mission, I likely wouldn't have found this cancer until it was late stage, and possibly too late.
