Lung Force represents a Force to be reckoned with. Only A Force of Many Can Stand Up To:
- the frightening rise of lung cancer in women
- the deadly disease that is COPD
- the daily challenges that asthma sufferers face
- pollution that threatens our lungs and our lives
- the health consequences of climate change
The American Lung Association works to support research and action on all of those fronts. I have been supporting ALA by riding in the Autumn Bike Trek, and also walking on the Lung Force Walk in Boston in June. I starting riding in the Bike Trek in 2009 when my dear friend Madeline Crivello was diagnosed with lung cancer. Then to my shock, I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015 in several locations, which was treated surgically in 2015 and 2016. I am fortunate that so far I have had no recurrences.
Please join my team, Strong Striders this June, as I walk with many to be the force that leads to actions that prevent and treat lung cancer and other lung conditions, and that pushes for interventions tht decrease air pollution and climate change. With your participation and help, our LUNG FORCE Walk will make a difference in lives that desperately need it. Register today, because now is the time to raise our voices against lung cancer—and for lung health.
