As most of you know I am the recipient of a double lung transplant.  I have been blessed beyond words to be alive today because of this.  I am walking to raise money for lung disease awareness and cures for those that are not as fortunate as I have been.  Many people suffer for years and years with lung disease, barely able to breathe on their own and many times not even able to leave their own home. I have been there; I know all too well their struggles. 

I celebrated my 5 year transplant anniversary this year.  I have also mentored several new lung transplants. It gives me great pleasure to help them on their journey.

Unfortunately, not all are as blessed as me, I have already lost two friends with lung rejection after their transplant.
