I was surprised when I found out that:
- Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer of women.
- Lung cancer kills roughly twice as many women as breast cancer—and has every year, since 1987.
- Think lung cancer only affects smokers? Think again. More than two-thirds of lung cancer patients never smoked, or they quit smoking years, or even decades earlier.
- Anyone can get lung cancer. In the last 35 years, the lung cancer death rate has fallen 21 percent among men while INCREASING 116 percent among women.
I joined the American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE Walk, to be held on Saturday, May 19th at Burke Lakefront Airport. Visit my Personal Page to join my team. If you can’t make it, I hope you’ll make a tax-deductible donation through my Personal Page.
Your support will help fulfill the mission of the American Lung Association to save lives by promoting lung health and preventing lung disease.
I hope to walk with you at our LUNG FORCE Walk—and I appreciate your support.
Thank you so much!
