Every year I walk to raise awareness and much needed funds for research into various pulmonary ailments such as COPD, asthma, and cancer. Additionally, the American Lung Associtaion works to improve the quaility of air we breathe. This years walk is especially poignant as I have lost my Gma Bernie to COPD and my mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer which resulted in a right upper lobe ectomy.
I walk for them. I walk for my friends with asthma who struggle to take a breath when it is too hot outside, when they are playing or simply sitting at home watching TV. I walk for those can't because thier disease has progressed and they are unable to walk. Won't you please help me to help them by donating what you can to this great cause? This affects each of us, either personally or by way of our loved ones. Every little bit counts. Ten, fifteen or twenty... I am happy with five dollars if that is all you can afford.
Thank you for your time and generousity. Remember, breathing is easy. Inhale, exhale and repeat.
