I lost my wife, Miranda, to non-small cell adenocarcinoma of the lung in July of 2013. Miranda was only 36. A life-long non-smoker, her doctors could only chalk her illness up to bad luck.
No child should lose their parent to lung cancer because of bad luck. No person should have to watch their spouse die from lung cancer due to bad luck. Myself, my family and my friends are participating in the Lung Force Walk to try to raise money to fight this horrible disease. It is my hope that one day bad luck will no longer be a death sentence and other families will not have to face the terrible pain that lung cancer can inflict.
We are a force to be reckoned with. Only A Force of Many Can Stand Up To:
- the frightening rise of lung cancer in women
- the deadly disease that is COPD
- the daily challenges that asthma sufferers face
- pollution that threatens our lungs and our lives
With your participation and help, our LUNG FORCE Walk will make a difference in lives that desperately need it. Register today, because now is the time to raise our voices against lung cancer-and for lung health.
