Thanks for visiting my personal page!!! (Team page is #Annie’sAngels) This is my 6th year participating in the Lung Force Walk in Detroit! The date of this year’s walk is September 29, 2024! I'll be walking to represent myself (2-time lung cancer survivor! Bronchiectasis, RIPF, & COPD), in memory of my late husband (asthma/COPD), my beloved family members with asthma and all people who are impacted by lung disease. I look forward to this event, and would greatly appreciate your support. We’d love to have you join our team! If not, consider donating…any amount would be helpful and very much appreciated. Our collective efforts will help raise awareness and funds to protect lung health.
Your donation and participation will help support the American Lung Association's research innovation, which leads to early detection for all and better treatments that give everyone a fighting chance. Any donation you are able to submit will be greatly appreciated!! Please consider joining Annie's Angels and walk with us!
UPDATE: With the Lord's help, family and friends, I've beat cancer again!!! Second time! This time was a long, hard battle but the outcome was a miracle! Last chemo was January 3, 2022. I didn't want to delete the following because I feel strongly that people need awareness.
****I am living proof that, if caught early, you CAN beat cancer!!! I was very fortunate mine was caught by accident...I believe the Good Lord led me to the doctor for an unrelated cause which then spiraled into many other tests finding the lung mass. God continues to bless me everyday with another morning wake up! (10/23/2020 was my 2-year cancer-free date!) He was with me every step of the way as I fought through very emotional times, during and after surgery, and through chemo. My family and friends' support will never be forgotten - I am forever grateful to them. I will walk this walk for the rest of my life - not just on Lung Force Day, but everyday. I will be a fighter and survivor! Please go to your doctor if "something doesn't feel right." Smokers, past-smokers, and non-smokers alike can all get lung cancer. It does not discriminate! Please take the time to make an appointment for screening or a checkup! It may save your life! God bless!! Xoxo
