Bree Teixeira is the External Affairs Specialist at AlohaCare. In her role, she supports public policy, community giving and employee engagement efforts. Her primary focus is to work with external parties to ensure the smooth execution of AlohaCare’s Imua Loa community giving program, with the primary goal of expanding access to quality health care for Hawai‘i’s most vulnerable populations.
Outside of work, Bree enjoys relaxing at the beach and hiking with her husband and children. She volunteers as Treasurer for the Aloha State Dressage Society, a local non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of dressage.
Bree chose to become a Turquoise Ambassador because she is particularly passionate about the health and well-being of youth. She has three children as well as two stepchildren all between the ages of 7 and 12 and understands the importance of educating them on the risks associated with smoking and vaping so they do not fall victim to peer pressure or the tobacco industry. She believes in the American Lung Association’s meaningful work, admires its dedication to protecting our keiki’s health and wants to do her part to spread awareness.
