Every two minutes in the U.S., someone receives the life-changing news of a lung cancer diagnosis. This devastating disease claims the lives of more than 356 individuals daily, impacting our friends, neighbors, and loved ones. Despite these staggering statistics, there is now a ray of hope shining through the darkness.

Over the past three years, the American Lung Association has funded $500,000 to research here at Fox Chase Cancer Center through their Lung Cancer Discovery Award.  This investment supported research in the Nuclear Dynamics and Cancer Program as well as Cancer Epigenetics Institute.

We also partnered and helped launch the LUNG FORCE Lung Cancer Survivors Luncheon held annually in Philadelphia to support those living with lung cancer.
