Thank you so much for visiting my page. I've signed up for the Virtual LUNG FORCE Walk on October 18th in memory of my beloved father, Richard Cox, who courageously fought aggressive metasticized small cell lung cancer for 8 months. He passed away on April 8, 2020 at the age of 86 after 4 rounds of chemotherapy and 5 rounds of immunotherapy. My Daddy was loving, caring, giving and he made everyone's life more wonderful. He was a non-smoker who shouldn't have suffered and died from lung cancer. I also walk in memory of my loving Uncle "Buddy" Barnhart, who passed away from COPD on August 30, 2017. He was so kind, giving, and funny. He also was a non-smoker and he didn't deserve the struggle he had to endure.
American Lung Association's LUNG FORCE unites women and their loved ones across the country to stand together for lung health and against lung cancer. Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer of both men and women in the U.S., and every five minutes a woman in this country learns she has lung cancer. More must be done to raise awareness and the research funding needed to defeat lung cancer once and for all.
The 3 Cox sisters (Kathy Cox Allen, Carolyn Cox Brooks and Karen Cox Propheter) and our families, stand united as the Cox Crusaders, to make a difference in the lives of people impacted by lung cancer and lung diseases.
I'm really looking forward to this virtual event and I greatly appreciate your support. Our collective efforts will help raise awareness and funds to protect lung health.
Your donation and participation, will help support the American Lung Association's research innovation, which leads to early detection for all and better treatments that give everyone a fighting chance. Today, more than ever, with the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, we need more funds to fight this battle.
To support my efforts, and to help save lives, please donate now. Be a part of the FORCE to defeat lung cancer and lung disease one step at a time. Thank you so much!
