First off, thank you for visiting our team page!

A little introduction, my name is Robin Bondy and I am the team captain.  I created the team with my dad, Greg Bondy.  We created the team in honor of my mom, Sally Bondy.  This will be our 4th Lung Force Walk.  We started in 2016 after my mom's passing from lung cancer.  In these past 4 years we have accomplished a lot as a team, but this is just the beginning for us!

In 2016, our world changed forever.  Sally was the light of everyon'es life.  Her smile would brighten everyone's day! She demonstrated to everyone that there is no excuse.  She managed to balance working full time, family time, working out every day and living a healthy life style.  People would describe her as the healthiest person they knew!  However, we all were shocked when she was hospitalized at the end of March.  Her arm had swelled up and was sensitive to the touch.  The doctors discovered that she had blood clots in her neck and arm.  On April 1st, we received the diagnosis that she had stage 4 lung cancer.

How could someone so healthy that NEVER SMOKED, have lung cancer?  It was then we found out that lung cancer is on the rise in young women, whether you smoke or not!  Regardless of the diagnosis, we held our heads high.  Cancer messed with the wrong family!  We are Bondy Strong!!

 Unfortunately, Sally was not given much of a chance to fight.  A month after her dianosis, she had a massive stroke.  She then was given every challenge she could have received, but she kept fighting!  Two months after her diagnosis, on June 13h, my dad and I were by her side as we watched her become our guardian angel.  Sally was 46 years old.

We created the team in honor of her and to continue her fight!  We share our story to help bring awareness.
