Joshua Torres is a Senior Policy Advisor with Southern California Edison’s Local Public Affairs department. In that capacity, he is responsible for leading SCE’s external engagement with local governments and community stakeholders around clean energy-related policies. These include cleaning and modernizing the grid, electric vehicles, and building decarbonization, among others.
Joshua works with SCE’s Government Relations Managers and Public Affairs Managers to educate local government and community stakeholders about SCE’s plan for building a clean energy future, solicit feedback on policy proposals, and to develop the partnerships necessary to achieve these goals.
Joshua has worked for SCE for thirteen years in multiple positions, all related to working with local government and community stakeholders. Before joining SCE, Joshua worked for the City of Rancho Cucamonga as an analyst in both the City Manager’s Office and Engineering Department.
Joshua has a Master of Business Administration from Claremont Graduate University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Economics from Florida State University.
