Hello everyone,
I'm participating in the American Lung Association's bike ride for charity in November. They are four star rated according to Charity Navigator, which is the highest rating given, so your money will certainly go to a good place.
The charity is close to me not only because myself and other members of my family deal with asthma, but because my 26 year old friend passed last year due to lung cancer. She was an avid runner and had no known risk factors. It snuck up on her and took first one lung, then her life in under a year. We need more research to understand how this happens and prevent it.
I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.
If you can donate even a little, every bit will help.
Thank you! Nicole
