I am participating in this year’s American Lung Association Gulf Coast Bike Trek event, and I need your support. I'll be doing the Metric Century Ride. I dedicate this ride to my good friend, Gerri Burnett, who lost her husband last year to pulmonary fibrosis. This ride is in celebration of Gerri's husband, Chuck. Chuck loved golf, hanging out with his friends, and he especially loved Gerri. She misses him every single day.

Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease (including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema) is the third leading cause of death in the United States.
