I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.

The why is fairly simple.  It's not any surprise to people who know me, I have a history.  Asthma mostly, here and there, issues with bronchitis.  Loved ones with other issues.  It's fair to say that it's personal.  If nothing else, I need the reminder, that I can and do take for granted what is a struggle for some.

Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
