I am participating in this year’s American Lung Association Gulf Coast Bike Trek event, and I need your support. I'll be doing the Metric Century Ride. I dedicate this ride to two special friends of mine. FIRST: My dear old friend, Roberta Raimon, who is currently battling lung cancer. (Roberta, I miss & love you, and MV!) SECOND: My good friend, Gerri Burnett, who lost her husband, Chuck, to pulmonary fibrosis. This ride is in celebration of these fighters.

Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease (including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema) is the third leading cause of death in the United States.
