Go Team Terrapin

I started this ride 11 years ago myself but not alone. This year Team Terrapin consist of family and friends all with the passion to help others and try to beat Oscar up watermelon Mountain.

This June will be Team Terrapin's 11th year joining over 2,000 thousand other cyclists and the American Lung Association in a journey across Maine to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. I make this ride for all those who struggle with Asthma and other lung related issues, but what gets me up and out at 5 am for training is my son Oscar and nephew Tower, they have struggled with asthma for much of their childhoods. I have others close to me that also fight Asthma and I love knowing that I am helping the cause. Listening to a small child struggle to breathe is heart breaking, please help me help them. Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease--including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema--is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
