I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. I will be trekking and camping across the state of Maine, and I am hoping you can help in raising funds for the ALA.
I happen to be fortunate enough to be able to do this ride while many others out there cannot due to lung disease. A close friend of mine suffers from CPD and to hear stories of their struggles makes this ride something beyond a few days in the saddle. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
