This June 16-18th I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.

Trek 2023 will be my second Trek and I'm sooo excited to be on this 180 mile trip with even more friends than last year.  I ride for friends who were all tragically affected by lung-related diseases within their families, and for the range of scientific efforts involved with indoor and outdoor air quality, pollution indexing, and climate science in general, all of which directly impact our lung health. 

Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
