Hi Friends,
It’s been almost 3 months now since the beginning of the pandemic for me and my family, and while we have slowly started returning to our normal way of life, I can’t help but to feel both stronger and vulnerable given everything we have been through and all of the societal shifts taking place around us. On one extreme, there are people who have lost their lives or livelihoods. On the other extreme, massive disruption to normal daily life in work and at home has taken place. No matter what side of the spectrum you’re on, this pandemic has brought about profound reflection. I hope that at a minimum this experience will encourage us all to be more thoughtful about how we can contribute to our communities and the world. While there is only so much each of us can do, the key is doing something however small it is. To highlight my support for all that matters to each of us, I’ll be embarking on a 120 mile Trek across Maine starting in the mountains and finishing by the sea. This is for me and my family, my co-workers, friends present and past, contacts around the globe, and most of all, those that have and are experiencing hardship either financial or racial. Any donations are duly appreciated and I will personally match the highest donation up to $1000. All donations will go towards the American Lung Association to support research efforts, including their $25 million investment to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics. Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.
Thank you in advance for your support! Sincerely, Sam
