Once again this year- my 20th year, I believe, I will be riding in support of the American Lung Association on their Autumn Escape Bicycle Trek (AEBT). This two-day, 105 mile ride happens on Cape Cod Sept 23/24th to raise money towards research, education and lobbying to fight lung diseases of all kinds and air pollution.
Lung diseases of all types are ruining or ending the lives of millions every year. We all know people with asthma (including myself). Not many die from their asthma anymore but they do die from COPD, lung cancer, emphyzema and so many other lung related diseases. After this summer of breathing smoke from the wild fires we know how bad it can be. Imagine having that kind of trouble breathing all the time! Although we can't control Mother Nature in terms of fires but there is so much that can be done beyond that to fight pollution.
My goal this year is to raise at least $1000 this year. Any donation you can make is hugely appreciated and is 1005 ta deductable, eprsonally and at the corporate level.
Thanks in advance, Chris
