Almost ten years ago I was diagnosed with exercised-induced asthma (EIB) after an open water swimming event. Managing the condition allows me to keep active and enjoy my favorite outdoor activities.
That's one reason why I am joining thousands of other cyclists in the Trek Across Maine to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease (including cancer, asthma and emphysema) is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
I invite you to make a difference and ride with us, or make a small donation to our fundraiser. And I'll make sure to pack my inhaler!
Thank you! Caroline
