I am joining many other cyclists and the American Lung Association in the 2019 Trek Across Maine to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of death in the United States. It's easy to take breathing for granted, but I watched a dear friend struggle for years and then thankfully thrive through the gift of organ donation, and I saw both grandfathers battle lung disease.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation. No donation is too small! Ask your HR department about matching gifts and see your donation double in support of my efforts and the mission of the American Lung Association.
I am biking in honor of my dear friend Grace who lost her battle with cancer in March. A warrior to the end, Grace loved the great outdoors and I know her spirit will be with me as I ride through the hills (and hopefully some valleys) of Maine.
Thank you in advance for you support!
