I am thrilled to be participating in my 6th year of Cycle for Air in an effort to raise money and awareness on behalf of the American Lung Association! This Trek season, I will be riding 180 miles over 3 days alongside some amazing friends. All proceeds raised go towards defeating lung cancer, improving the air we breathe, reducing the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families, with the end goal of eliminating tobacco use.
It's been nearly 6 years since we lost Dad to lung cancer; this event continues to be a special way to reflect on our time with him and to give back in hopes that other families don't have to experience the same pain. Living in this crazy world we're in right now, effected by COVID and climate change, only makes the causes of air quality and lung health even more critical! I am so grateful for this opportunity to celebrate his life and support this incredible cause.
This year's in-person fundraising event will be at a local favorite, Irish Brewing, in Norwood 12:30-3(ish) Saturday, May 18th! Plenty of brews (NA options too!), great food, prizes, and cheer- please join us!!
Thank you for your support! Any contribution, however big or small, is greatly appreciated, including messages of encouragement or reminders to stay on top of my training :)
