I am thrilled to be participating in my 4th year of Trek Across Maine/Cycle for Air in an effort to raise money and awareness on behalf of the American Lung Association! This June, I will be riding 180 miles over 3 days alongside some amazing friends. All proceeds raised go towards defeating lung cancer, improving the air we breathe, reducing the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families, with the end goal of eliminating tobacco use.
It's been nearly 4 years since we lost Dad to lung cancer; this event continues to be a special way to reflect on our time with him and to give back in hopes that other families don't have to experience the same pain. Living in this crazy world we're in right now, effected by COVID and climate change, only makes the causes of air quality and lung health even more critical! I am so grateful for this opportunity to celebrate his life and support this incredible cause.
Thank you for your support! Any contribution, however big or small, is greatly appreciated, including messages of encouragement or reminders to stay on top of my training :) A donation of any size means automatic entry into the 3rd annual virtual raffle, AND I'm excited to announce we are bringing back the in-person fundraiser celebration!!! Please mark your calendars...
