Friends and Family,
I am riding Cycle the Sea Coast on May 5, 2019 and I would greatly appreciate your support!
My summer childhood memories are of our family trips to the sea coast. My grandmother, my mom's two brothers and our family caravanned overnight from Upstate NY. We crammed 12 people …7 adults and 5 kids, into a tiny Beach House, which I vividly remember had a sign next to the door that read, "maximum occupancy - 5"! We spent all day on the beach trying not to get our Irish skin burned and all night playing boisterous games of CLUE. Many lasting memories were made with these amazing family members.
So here’s why I’m riding Cycle the Sea Coast:
My mom's older brother died from Lung Cancer in 2002.
My grandmother died from Lung Cancer in 2009.
My mom died from Lung Cancer in 2015.
Lung disease unnecessarily takes more lives than any other disease worldwide.
As a way to honor my Mom, Grandmother and Uncle who fought this terrible disease with high hopes, buoyant spirit and determination, we formed Team “Motate” and will cycle in partnership with the American Lung Association in the 50-mile Sea Coast ride.
My personal goal is to raise over $500 for this extremely worthy cause.
Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
