My 25th Trek!!
The trek is a passionate and spirited event supporting clean air and lung health. For years I have supported the American Lung Association by particpating in the The Trek Across Maine, a 3-day, 180 mile cycling trip which for the first time this year starts and ends in Brunswick.
The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research. For more than 100 years, they have led the fight for healthy lungs and healthy air, whether it's searching for cures to lung diseases, keeping kids off tobacco, or fighting for laws that protect the air we all breathe.
As the largest fundraising event of its kind in the nation for the American Lung Association, the Trek has raised more than $22 million in the past 30 years. There are more than 2,000 cyclists and 750 volunteers on this very memorable ride.
I’m so grateful to be able to participate in this event to help improve the air quality and lung health in our country. I am riding as I did last year in honor and in loving memory of my brother Sandy, who passed away 15 months ago very quickly and suddenly of lung cancer and Phyllis who was one of our Fiddlers Green Farm Maine trek bicycle team.
Please support this great organization.
