Maggie and I are registered for the 35th Trek Across Maine... Here are Maggie's thoughts.
"I 've always wanted to be fit ,last year I decided I wanted to do the trek because after my dad finished, we took a picture and I wanted to be wearing a bike shirt, too! after that I asked my dad if I could do it next year, and guess what he said,
HE SAID YYYYEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe this. he said yes.THANK
YOU DADDY. I'm looking forward to all of the aid stations and food that I have never tasted before, like a Nutella and fluff sandwiches, YUM. We just got a new tandem bike and I'm looking forward to riding it. Would you please help us raise money for clean air so we can breathe."
Maggie and I have committed to join over a 1000 other cyclists and the American Lung Association in a three-day, 185 mile journey around Maine while raising money to support the fight against lung cancer, COPD, Asthma and other serious lung diseases. Among my goals is to increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Did you know:
-that lung cancer is the number one cancer killer of both men and women today.
-By quitting smoking you reduce your risk of developing lung cancer by 50%!!!
-lung disease is the third leading cause of death in the United States.
-Breathing is essential for life...Lungs are on the front line of getting Oxygen into your body!
Please join us in our efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation. Ask your HR Department about matching gifts and see your donation double in support of our sore butts and the mission of the American Lung Association.
Thank you in advance for your support!!
