My father died from lung cancer, 2 of my cousins with COPD have passed on, I know people who are suffering from a lung disease, and in memory of classmates, family, and friends who have passed on.

 I am  joining many other cyclists and the American Lung Association in the 40th annual Autumn Escape Bike Trek to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.

Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, COPD, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
