This June, I will join thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association on a journey across Maine while raising money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma an emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States. It can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. My father died of lung disease three years ago so this hits close to home.
It is my 25th year raising money and riding across Maine for this great cause and I am reminding everyone that once again, I am collecting funds, in increments to raise a minimum of $550. The ride is strenuous but so much fun! I appeal again for your generosity to support this year's trek.
