To all my Trek across Maine supporters,
I ride in the annual Trek across Maine event to support the American Lung Association in memory of my first wife Randi, who died 16 years ago due to non-small cell lung cancer. Her death was not only my loss, but my children lost their mother, her family lost a loved one, and the community lost a caring, loving woman. I was reminded of this when I was recently reading through the sympathy cards from her death 16 years ago and the notes are still so inspiring to read!
Although Lung cancer is still very difficult to treat, medical science has made progress as there are now new immunotherapy medications for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. So there is hope, which is why I would encourage all of you to strongly consider donating towards this very important cause.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation. For those of you are are still working, ask your HR Department about matching gifts and see your donation double in support of my efforts and the mission of the American Lung Association.
I look forward to your help,
Matt
