We're back at it again! As you probably know by now because this is the tenth or fifteenth year you've received these emails from me, the Trek Across Maine is a regular part of our June. I think I have celebrated every Fathers Day since I've been a father riding my bicycle. And this year the cause is as important as ever with lung disease and infection on the increase due to COVID. The American Lung Association works tirelessly to promote lung health through education, advocacy, and research. Please help them increase their effectiveness by making a donation, and supporting our family in our ride to bring attention to lung issues.
The last two years' rides were "remote" rides. Riders could ride anywhere and anytime. We stuck to the same dates - the weekend around Fathers Day - but explored our own backroads the first year and traveled to Aroostook County, a destination I have long wanted to bike, to get our miles in this last year. This year the ride returns to being a "hosted" event, traveling from Brunswick to Lewiston on the first day, Lewiston to Standish on day two, and then back to Brunswick on the final day. Ruben, Kim, and I will represent the Widmers. We'll ride with Kim's father Bob, who is 75 and still riding strong.
Please consider supporting us. We are exceptionally thankful for any help toward our goals. If you wish to support me, you are at the right place. If you'd like to help Ruben out, here is his link:

(Kim doesn't need any help, as she has already met her fundraising goal. . . )
With gratitude,
Glen and Ruben (and hopefully the rest of the family. . . .)
