This year I will be participating in my 6th Trek Across Maine June 14th-16th and I am looking for support to reach my fundraising goal of $550 to support the ALA in their lung cancer research. The Trek Across Maine is a 3-day, 180 mile cycling event, this year, a brand new route will have a start and finish line hosted at the Brunswick Landing with overnight stops at Bates College in Lewiston and Colby College in Waterville. As the largest fundraising event of its kind in the nation for the American Lung Association, the Trek has raised more than $24 million in the past 30+ years.
This will be athenahealth’s 10th year joining the American Lung Association's largest annual fundraiser in the country. Our team consists of athenistas, friends, family members as well as athena clients. We ride in support of the American Lung Association (ALA) and to honor our friend and colleague David LeClair.
I will be riding again this year to support the cause of clean air, and healthy lungs for all, I’ve lost a loved one to lung cancer and I’m sure you or someone you know has as well. An estimated 158,080 Americans were expected to die from lung cancer in 2016 alone, this is why I ride, I believe this is a very important cause and this is my way to help support it!
