This June, will mark my EleventhTrek, and I will join thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association in a journey across Maine (or around central Maine...) while raising money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of good air quality and overall lung health.

After years of smoking, and struggling through quitting smoking programs, I finally became a Quitter! I ride because I can, in consideration of those who cannot, to inspire others to do the same...

Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
