This June, I will join thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association in a journey across Maine while raising money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. This will be my fourth year!
Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
I have also made a personal commitment for my health and well being, and I am making major life changes so I can lead my family to a healthy lifestyle. I am 53 years old, and it is long over due to take charge of my health and wellbeing.
My son struggles from recurring pneumonia, and got a 2nd chance at life. He has been so courageous with his battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, but will continue to struggle with deteriorating lung function related to his disease. I am dedicating my Journey on the Trek Across Maine to him. Tom Mousseau.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.
Thank you in advance for you support!
