Dear friends and family,
My trusty bicycle and I will once again take part in the Trek Across Maine ... June 14-16, 2019. And THIS year—2019—will be my 10th Trek! Not only that ... the Trek is celebrating its 35th anniversary. Wow, 35 years ...I will admit that hopping on my bike and cycling all day for three days is not as easy as it was ten years ago. But it's become one of the nicest ways to spend Father's Day Weekend. It may seem a little nuts to you, but the Trek is a ton of fun, rain or shine!
It's not just a happy spring activity, though. I do the Trek for a big reason: to support family and friends who have been suffering from lung disease. I think almost every family I know has also been affected. And if I can do something to make their lives meaningful, I'll take up the challenge.
I raise money for the Lung Association by riding in the Trek—so I'll be looking for sponsorship. Here's my pledge to you: I'll go a little nuts, first attending spin classes with screaming instructors, wear strange-looking spandex, get rained on and pedal a crazy amount of miles (180 over three days) if YOU will sponsor me. My Trek page is right here and you can make a pledge to get me going. THANK YOU!
As a person living with a lung disorder at 67 years old, won't you please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation. My Trek page is right here and you can make a pledge to get me going.
THANK YOU in advance for you support!
