In September, for my thirteenth year, I will be supporting the American Lung Association in a fundraising bike ride. On September 27th, 28th and 29th, I will be riding with members of the Rusty Cranks team on a three-day, 150 mile ride on Cape Cod.
The ride will raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health. Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
I’m thrilled to contribute to such a great organization that saves lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. The work that they do is truly incredible.
As part of the ride, I’ve committed to raising $1,500. Can you help me reach my goal? It would mean a lot to me to have your support. Your personal or corporate tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many Americans who struggle to breathe! Any amount helps! Plus, it’s really quick and easy to donate—just visit my online fundraising page to make a gift. The link to my page is at the bottom of this email. Also, many companies offer matching gift programs, in which the company will match an employee's contribution to the charitable organization.
Thank you in advance for your consideration!
