This June, I will join thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association in a journey across Maine while raising money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.

Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of death in the United States.

I have lost a number of family members and friends to lung related diseases with everything from emphysema, COPD and Lung cancer.

This will be my 32nd year participating in this 3 day, 180 mile bicycling event for this worthy cause.
